Healing Generations Through History
Ask. Connect. Discover. Heal.
A Journey into the Past
In the tapestry of our lives, there are threads interwoven by history, memories, and experiences. Especially for those touched by war, understanding this rich fabric becomes an essential path to healing. By stepping back into the past, we aim to bring clarity to questions, solace to hearts, and forge powerful bonds between generations.
Originally, Healing Through History was established to assist Vietnam Veterans and their families to fill in the knowledge gap of their Vietnam War service. In addition to that important work, Healing Through History now also conducts original research and analysis of unresolved Missing-in-Action (MIA) cases to support recovery operations. Its team of experts can search archives, define combat loss events, analyze related historical documents/images, postulate last course-of-action of MIA personnel, and produce actionable reports for further analysis and on-site search.
While focused on the Vietnam War, 1960 to 1975, Healing Through History will research MIA cases on a limited basis from the Second World War (1941 to 1945), Korean War (1950 to 1953), and the Cold War (1946 to 1991).
Knowledge is the beacon that dispels the shadows of the unknown. It is also the bridge that connects us across generations. From in-depth research initiatives to enlightening virtual workshops, we strive to shine a light on the tales that have shaped families, ensuring they are passed down, understood, and cherished.
Educate and Illuminate
More than just a trip to a foreign land, our guided immersive journeys to Vietnam serve as poignant pilgrimages to not only learn about our loved ones, but also ourselves. Being able to literally walk in their Veterans footsteps provides families with an unparalleled experience - one that gives moments of reflection, reconciliation and most importantly, healing. See our Family Engagement Committee section for more details.
